Andrew's 2nd Birthday.

It is hard to believe that Andrew turned 2 on August 1st. He is a very sweet little boy, who is turing out to be quite entertaining. We are so blessed to have him in our lives, there isn't a day that goes by that we don't thank God for giving him to us.

In trouble again!!

While Kalin and Addi were coloring Andrew's poster, he snuck into Kalin's room got her stickers out and stuck them all over his leg!

Andrew's birthday sign.

The girls did such a good job helping me with the muffins, I asked them to help color a sign for
Andrew's birthday party. (Pin the wheel on the truck.)

Kalin's first sleepover

Kalin had her first sleepover, Addi stayed over a few weeks ago. We put the girls to bed about 9:30 pm, around 11:30 they finally went to sleep. Then the little stinkers were up bright and early (6:15 am) Sat morning. We made muffins for breakfast and the girls were a hugh help.

Adventureland

Summer would not be complete without a trip to Adventureland. Bob and I got smart this year and brought Kelly along with us. Kalin likes to go on all rides, even the ones that go around in circles which don't sit too well with our stomachs. Kelly was a trooper and took Kalin on any ride that she wanted to go on. Andrew stuck to the kid rides, but we did take him on the log ride which he really liked (of course we made Kelly and Kalin sit in front so they got the majority of the water.)

Tranae's 12th birthday.

We also had a chance to celebrate Tranae's 12th birthday while at the lake. I made Tranae her cake which she thought looked just like her! :)

Water tubing

Over the 4th of July we went to Mom and Dad's place and took Kalin tubing. She is our little daredevil and will try about anything. She loved tubing and had a lot of fun watching Tranae and Caroline show her the ropes.

Minneapolis Zoo

We got our share of zoos while in Minneapolis. We also visited the Minneapolis Zoo, which was really nice for anyone thinking of visiting the Minneapolis area.
They had a giant aquarium with fish and sharks swimming around, the kids really liked watching th sharks.
Here we are looking at the camels.
Which came first the chicken or the egg?

Como Zoo and Park

We stayed in Minnesota a couple extra days and took the kids to the Como Zoo and Park.
Here Kalin was riding a zip line.
They had little kid rides that you could buy tickets for. This is the kids on the Aladdin ride.
Kalin and Drew dressed up as firefighters.
Doesn't he just look like trouble?

Kalin and Grandpa were putting on a puppet show for Hannah.
Pee-Wee, Grandma, and Kalin were trying to fly, I think.
Is that a turtle or Kalin?
The kids were spraying the sheet with watercolor paints.
The three amigos after they were done.

Minneapolis Children's Museum

After the wedding, we visited the Children's Museum with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Vath (Pee-Wee), Aunt Melissa and Hannah. Here the kids are shopping at the Supermarket.
Andrew is driving a city bus. Kalin got to get her face painted.
Hang ten. There were some surf boards that you could stand on and then a screen that made it look like you were surfing.

Sean and Melodie's Wedding.

At the of June, we traveled to Minnesota for my cousin Sean's wedding. The first picture is of Kalin with my cousin Kelly and Kalin's second cousins Destiny and Verrah. The second picture is of Kalin with Sean and Melodie. Kalin thought Melodie looked like a princess. We don't know where Andrew is.

Water ballons.

Bob and I were trying to teach the kids the art of water balloons. They didn't quite get the idea that the fun part is breaking them on someone, but they still had fun with them.

Andrew's shoe fetish.

As many of you know our son has a bit of a shoe fetish, Flip Flops are a particular favorite. In this picture he has at least one of his flip flops on, the other one is Kalin's. He is quite talented, he can wear all shoes (man, women, and child) and walk around quite well. In fact, Bob told me just this morning that he is wearing Kalin's new hot pink, shiny, high heeled flip flops to daycare today. (I'm not sure what Dad was doing when he loaded the kids into the car.) I really don't care too much, but Andrew has his two year well check today....I may have some explaining to do!! (PS Thanks Aunt Glo for the new shoes, they are a hit.)

Blastball!!

This is Kalin playing Blastball. Blastball is a form of T-ball, but a little easier. There are two teams. One team bats, while the other team fields. Once you hit the ball off the tee you run to first base and jump on it and then the base honks at you. Supposedly there is a way to keep score, but I couldn't figure it out. Her team was the Twins, but as you can see we only wear Cub gear at our house. I think that she will be ready for T-ball next year.

Going to the park.

In June, we took the kids to a park in North Liberty. Kalin thought she was tough stuff climbing the rock wall. Andrew tried and did't get very far, which is surprising since he has no trouble climbing onto counter, tables, and furniture at home.
