Picnic at Lake McBride

In September, when the weather was still nice and the trees were green we took the kids on a picnic to Lake McBride after church. As you can see the kids had fun playing at the park.

Hannah loves her cousins. Kalin and Hannah had fun playing in the bath together, and then later her and Andrew went for a ride in a box.

Thanks to some cool Superman pajamas that Andrew got for his birthday, he can now fly around and save Kalin from her evil parents.

Last but not least, party in Marshalltown.

As if two parties were not enough for our birthday girl, we celebrated one more time in Marshalltown with the rest of Kalin's family. I made Kalin a Little Mermaid birthday cake, becuase that is currently her favorite princess. As you can see, we had to make room for her new gifts.

Kalin's party at Chuck E Cheese

Later that night, we met Grandpa Dick, Grandma Pat, Aunt Becky, Uncle Randy, Ben and Nick at Chuck E Cheese. The kids had a great time watching Chuck E and his friends sing and dance, and then everyone got to play games and go on rides.

Kalin and Addison's 4th birthday party!!

Kalin and her best friend, Addison, were born 1 day apart so they shared a birthday party together this year. Here are the birthday girls. As you can see, we had a house full. The girls colored pictures, played outside, decorated cookies, and made candy necklaces. It was wild and crazy!!

Our trip to Chicago

In Septmeber we took the kids on a mini-vacation to Chicago. Andrew experienced his first Cubs game. Unfortunately, we didn't cheer loud enough because the Cubs lost. Kalin liked the cotton candy, and the subway ride to the game. Andrew had fun waving to the cute girl sitting behind him!!



We also took the kids to the Shedd Aquarium. Like 90% of the kids there Kalin liked Nemo and Dory. Andrew liked the dolphin show.
