I'm not Bob

This is the conversation that Andrew and Kalin had last night while I was trying to dry them off after bath and get their pajamas on them.

Andrew: "Don't mess up my hair Mom."
Kalin trying to be funny: "You don't have hair, your bald."
Andrew: "I not Bob, I have hair."
Kalin laughing uncontrolably: "No your not Bob, your bald...you have no hair"
Andrew: "I not Bob, I have hair."
Kailn laughing even harder: "No not Bob, your a baldy....you have no hair."
Andrew starting to get mad: "I not a Bobby, I have hair."

Andrew the Christmas tree

While we were undecorating the Christmas tree, Andrew decided that he wanted to be a Christmas tree, so we did what every great parent would do...said, "Sure" and then got the camera. We put the star on his head, and ornaments on his ears and hands!

We gave Hannah some cool Dora swim goggles.

Kalin got the game Trouble and LOVES it. She plays it everyday. She loves this game so much, that most days she plays by herself.

Aunt Melissa and Uncle Vath got Andrew some Transformer PJ with a robe that lights up, it is a hit at our house.

Christmas Cookies

As you can see we made beautiful Christmas cookies this year. From Kalin and Andrew's faces you can see that they were also tasty. The last picture is of Andrew after the sugar high!

Our Christmas

This year was the first year that both kids really got into the Christmas thing. We tried to remind them that it wasn't all about the presents, that we were celebrating the birth of Jesus. That God gave us the gift of Jesus and now we share gifts with others. Well we broke down and got both kids guitars for Christmas, and they rocked songs to Jesus for HOURS, and they still are rocking out!!

Gingerbread house

Last year (2007) while doing after Christmas sale shopping, I picked up a gingerbread house kit very cheap. I stuck in away and got it out one evening. The kids loved helping to decorate it. We would discuss our game plan, I would put the frosting on, and the kids would take turns putting on the candy. I kept warning them that the candy was really old and they shouldn't eat it. (It was so old that I had to use scissors to cut the gum drops and it wasn't easy.) Anyway a couple of days later, I noticed that some gum drops were off of the roof line, I just figured they had fallen off (it didn't dawn on me I would have found them if they fell off.) Needless to say, Andrew is a candy thief and by Christmas our gingerbread house was pretty bare. (Again, I forgot to take a picture of the after.)

Andrew's Christmas Program

Country Kidds Daycare had their annual Christmas program this year. Andrew is now in the 2 year old room, he is getting to be such a big boy. Their class did two Christmas poems. Andrew didn't do much during the first poem, he just kind of sat and stared at the parents. Then he spotted me and that put him and ease, we saw a little action during the last poem.
